Center of a hanging load below the cord; a load at an apex split by proportion
Folio 166v studies suspended and angularly supported weights, stating that the natural center of a hanging load of uniform thickness lies directly beneath the center of the cord that holds it. It further holds that a weight carried near the angle where two supports meet divides between them in the same proportion as the spaces between the weight's perpendicular and the ends of the support. Triangular support frames with numbered hanging weights (1-4) and bracket-like rigs marked "sperientia" (experiment) test the rule.

The natural center of a suspended gravity of uniform thickness will be directly beneath the center of the cord that sustains it. The proposition governs how a load hangs true from its support.
Weight at an apex split between two supports by proportion
A weight sustained near the angle where its two supports meet is distributed to them in the same proportion as the spaces found between the perpendicular of the weight and the extremities of its support. The triangular frames with hanging weights illustrate the division.
Experimental support rigs ("sperientia")
Bracket- and frame-like support rigs at the right and lower right are labeled "sperientia" (experiment), used to test how a hung load is carried by angled members. Numbered weights hang from the triangular frames as trial cases.
