Armature of the throat and body of the horse-mould
Racked vertical post with clamps supporting the neck and trunk of the mould
The sketch shows a vertical timber post fitted with a stepped rack and collared clamps, drawn over a fainter structure sketched behind it — the framework that holds the throat (gola) and body of the Sforza horse-mould. A single caption to the left of the figure names it the armature of the throat and body. Further faint text is present lower on the sheet, not included in the transcription.

Framework of the throat and body
The racked vertical post with its clamps is the armature (armadura) that supports the throat (gola) and body (corpo) of the mould for the Sforza horse, holding the neck and trunk sections in place.
