Spanish title-page: treatises on fortification, statics and geometry
A later cataloguer's title-leaf stamped by the Biblioteca Nacional
An early Spanish title-page bound into the front of the codex, written in an elegant later hand and stamped with the oval mark of the Biblioteca Nacional. It announces the volume as various treatises on fortification, statics and geometry written in Italian, and remarks that the book's script runs in reverse. This inscription is a cataloguer's addition rather than Leonardo's own writing, and its text is not transcribed here.
