Waters that cross one another at various angles
A program of studies on intersecting currents, waves, troughs and eddies from surface to bed
The whole page is a program of studies on how waters intersect: currents crossing one another at various angles, reflected motions meeting at wave crests, in the descent of a wave and in its trough, large reflected motions with small ones, incident motions with troughs, and swift waters with slow. Leonardo lists eddies meeting waves, troughs and reflected currents along crossing lines, eddies of contrary motion entering one another, and the curvatures of eddies intersecting from the surface of the water to its bed. The dense mirror-script fills the sheet without an accompanying diagram.

Currents intersecting at various angles
Water crosses itself at various angles in reflected motions, at wave crests, in the descent of a wave and in its trough; large reflected motions meet small ones, incident motions meet troughs, and swift waters meet slow, with eddies crossing waves, troughs and reflected currents along intersecting lines.
Eddies intersecting from surface to bed
Eddies of contrary motion enter one into another, and the lengths and curvatures of eddies intersect one another from the surface of the water down to its bottom, incident eddies crossing the reflected ones, with waters interposed in every direction among these accidents of the water.
