Gears with a coiled spring
A mechanism at the lower left couples a helical coiled spring to gearing mounted on a small frame. It reads as a spring-driven gear train of the kind Leonardo studied for stored-motion devices.
Interlaced circle design
In the upper center four circles are drawn interlaced with crossing strands into a compact knot. It is a decorative interlace study of the sort recurring across Leonardo's notebooks.
Head in profile
At the upper right a head is sketched in profile, the face and jaw lightly worked in red chalk. It stands apart from the mechanical and decorative studies on the sheet.
