Converging waters rise, gain weight and break upon the bed
Leonardo observes that where three water currents meet, a sudden depth forms: the waters rise up, acquire weight, and then move with vehemence, breaking as they strike the bed below. A pen drawing above shows several streams sweeping together and curling into two hollow basins. The note belongs to a sequence of studies on turbulent water in Paris Manuscript I.
