Studies of springs, gears and mechanical fittings
Detailed pen studies of coiled springs, toothed wheels, hinges and clamps.
The sheet gathers several separate mechanical studies drawn in pen and ink: hinged strap-and-stud fittings, a coiled spring, ratchet- or star-toothed wheels, and a spring-loaded device with a curved arm. The parts are scattered across the sheet at different scales, as working details rather than a single machine. Staining and fading obscure some passages, and a faint untranscribed inscription together with an inventory number appears along the lower edge.

Hinged strap-and-stud fittings
At the upper left and upper right are fittings built from studded straps or bands joined by pins, resembling clamps or articulated mounts. They are drawn in careful detail as isolated components, with the rows of studs or rivets clearly indicated.
Coiled spring and toothed wheels
Toward the centre and right the sheet shows a tightly coiled spring together with wheels cut with radiating teeth, like ratchet or star wheels, and a spring-loaded device with a curved arm. Together they read as studies of a spring-driven mechanism and the force it stores.
