The right folio is dominated by a musical contrivance: a wheel of reeds used as a round, a canon sung in four parts, which Leonardo builds with four teeth so that each tooth performs the office of one singer, drawn beside radiating spoked wheels, ranks of organ-like pipes, and lines of square musical notation. Nearby he sketches drums played like the monochord to the words 'O you sweet honey,' with the jotting 'the girls.' Crossed-out passages state that a liquid moves faster the farther it is from friction with a denser body and the nearer to friction with a rarer one, and the left folio carries circles, a segmented figure, and columns of calculation. The transcription doubles the folio 137v and 136r blocks.

A wheel of reeds as a four-part musical canon
Here a wheel of reeds is made, used like tablets, with a musical round called a canon that is sung in four parts, each singer singing the whole round. Leonardo therefore makes a wheel with four teeth, so that each tooth by itself performs the office of one singer.
Drums played like a monochord
Along the lower margin drums are shown, to be played like the monochord, set to the words 'O you sweet honey,' with the marginal note 'the girls.'
Speed of a liquid near a denser or rarer body
In a crossed-out note Leonardo lays down that the part of a liquid which is farther from friction with a body denser than itself moves faster, while the part nearer to friction with a rarer body also moves faster. A companion cancelled line adds that a thing partakes most of its simple nature farthest from its extremities.
