Fountain, timed water basins and a foundry-earth recipe
A fountain with twisted-column basin amid interiors, a water clock and casting notes
The sheet gathers a fountain with a twisted-column basin, several interior perspective sketches and a column of memoranda (colour, formulary, Archimedes and names). A lower diagram describes timed basins f n that finish filling as the twenty-fourth hour strikes and then empty all at once by siphon, resetting the basins above. Nearby notes reason that a bag m should balance the weight of its descent against the lightness of its rise, and a corner recipe prescribes porous foundry earth bound with coarse wool shearings. Much of the writing is faint mirror-script running around the drawings.

Fountain with a twisted-column basin
At the centre stands an ornamental fountain: a fluted or twisted central column rising from a broad footed basin, surrounded by studies of walled rooms and interior perspectives. The drawing is design work rather than a recorded structure and carries no dimensioning here.
Basins emptied by siphon at the twenty-fourth hour
When the twenty-fourth hour strikes, all the basins f n finish filling and, by siphon, empty all at once and close the basins above, which then immediately refill in the given order. The figure n f m illustrates the timed water distribution.
A bag balancing weight against levity
Leonardo asks that the bag m have as much power of weight in descending as its lightness in rising: it would then have one degree for descent and two degrees of levity for the climb, one of which resists the weight while the other stays free in the ascent.
Porous casting earth bound with wool shearings
A corner note prescribes sand or a composition of crucible clay with plenty of shearings mixed into the earth so that it stays porous; the shearings are to be of coarse wool and the earth kept dry.
