Faint mechanical studies revealed by restoration
A sheet recorded as invisible before restoration, now showing gears, screws and mill-like devices
The e-Leo record notes that this side of the sheet was invisible before restoration and describes it as devoid of writing and drawings. In its present state the leaf bears numerous faint mechanical studies: toothed gear-wheels, screws and vertical shafts carrying rotating vaned wheels, together with drum- or millstone-like assemblies and a frame or crane structure at the left. A large loss in the paper, a tan patch, interrupts the upper centre. These drawings are not transcribed in the bundle, and further faint content may be present.

Gears, screws and vaned shafts
Faintly drawn across the sheet are toothed gear-wheels, screws and upright shafts carrying rotating multi-vaned wheels. Several assemblies at the right stack vaned wheels on a single axle. None of this mechanism is transcribed in the accompanying note.
Mill-like devices
Among the mechanisms are drum- and millstone-like elements set on frames, consistent with grinding or water-driven devices. They remain faint and untranscribed.
