The recovered sheet nonetheless carries several drawings: a clearly inked crank-and-pulley mechanism at upper right, a vertical screw set in a rectangular frame at centre, a windlass-like device below, and curved membrane forms lettered A and B at the left that resemble wing studies. Crank-and-pulley mechanism and framed screw
At upper right a vertical frame carries pulleys or rollers turned by a crank handle at its foot. At centre a screw or spindle stands within a rectangular frame, with a further windlass-like device sketched below.
Curved membrane forms lettered A and B
At the left of the sheet two large curved membrane-like shapes are drawn faintly and lettered A and B, resembling the outstretched wing surfaces studied elsewhere. Their subject is inferred from the drawing alone.
