Wheels of willow and walnut dressed with emery, mill gear-ratios, and a boat 42 braccia long.
The sheet studies the making and gearing of wheels. Several disks are specified in different woods — willow and walnut — with strips of leather set on the edge and dressed with tallow and emery, evidently abrasive or polishing wheels. Notes give the gear train of a water mill (the fall of water, a 4-braccia wheel of 16 spokes, a gear-wheel of 36 teeth and a pinion of 6 spindles) and record a boat 42 braccia long.

Water-mill gear train: fall, wheel, gear and pinion
The water's fall should be at least 3 braccia. The wheel is 4 braccia with 16 spokes, the gear-wheel (rubecchio) 1 2/3 braccia with 36 teeth, and the pinion (rocca) 1/3 braccio with 6 spindles.
Applying leather to the rim of a wheel
A portion of a wheel is drawn to show the way leather is fitted to the wheel. Nearby half-wheels are labelled as being of willow and of walnut.
A boat forty-two braccia long
At the foot of the sheet a long boat is drawn and noted as 42 braccia in length.
