Faint circle studies with a compass construction (verso)
Ghosted lune and circle diagrams show through; the sheet also carries untranscribed notes
The verso is very faint, largely dominated by the show-through of the dense quadrature drawings on the recto: ghosted circles, lunes and sectors spread across the sheet. A single transcribed note labels a figure and begins to describe 'the smaller circle a b o p,' continuing the recto's studies of circles and their proportional parts. A darker, freshly inked compass or sector construction stands out at the upper right, and further untranscribed writing runs across the page.
