Leonardo states that one and the same force, repeated in its motion upon a suspended weight, does its work as many times over as it is repeated. With a stick a b he pushes the weight a, which flees to c, departs to d, and on returning is driven again with the same force to e. A fan of radiating lines ending in small weights at the lower right shows these successive swing positions, and the sheet also carries faint wireframe cubes, a sail-like form, lens shapes and rows of measuring marks that this bundle does not transcribe.

With the stick a b Leonardo pushes the suspended weight a, which flees to c, then leaves c for d, and when it swings back to a the stick drives it on with the same force to e. He generalises that a repeated force accumulates its effect as many times as it is applied. The radiating fan of lines with weighted ends records the successive positions.
Wireframe boxes and lens forms
The upper part of the sheet carries two lightly drawn perspective boxes or wireframe cubes together with elongated lens or ellipse shapes and rows of short measuring dashes. These sketches are not covered by the supplied transcription beyond the labelled points.
