Measures of the wheel, the water level, the pump and its framework
This leaf works out a water-raising machine in red chalk and pen. A pen note gives the wheel's diameter as four braccia and six and a half ounces, the height of the water as two and two-thirds braccia, and the pump (tromba) standing four braccia and a fraction out of the water. Red-chalk schemes add a spoked circle, a measured angle, and a square framework whose rods and scanduppo are dimensioned; further mechanical parts are sketched but left without text.

A circle surrounded by rays is annotated that a half runs ten ounces long.
