A pen-and-ink study of the human skeleton showing the vertebral column, rib cage, pelvis and legs in a frontal view, with a second, more lightly drawn lateral view of the trunk, hip and leg at the right. The bones are built up with fine hatching on brown paper that is stained, torn and worn. An old ink inscription and inventory numbers appear at the lower and upper margins; this untranscribed writing is not included in the bundle. Uffizi collection marks are present at the lower right.

Frontal skeleton: spine, ribs, pelvis and legs
The larger figure shows the skeleton from the front, with the curving vertebral column, the cage of ribs, the flared pelvis and the long bones of the legs down to the feet. The joints and hatched shading suggest careful attention to bony structure rather than surface form.
Lateral view of trunk and hip
At the right a second, fainter skeleton is drawn in profile, showing the rib cage, spine and pelvis seen from the side with the thigh and lower leg descending. The lighter ink and worn paper leave this study partly indistinct.
