A brief physics note set on an otherwise almost blank opening. Leonardo states that a compact heavy body descending freely moves in a straight line, and that it falls toward the centre of the world not because that centre draws it, nor because the body by its own choice directs itself there, but simply because the air cannot resist it. The rest of the two leaves is blank apart from faint show-through and stray construction lines.
