Hoisting apparatus and a Milanese account entry
Columnar lifting and winch devices sketched in pen, with one bookkeeping note transcribed
The leaf is filled with pen sketches of tall columnar machine elements crowned by ornate collars, together with hoisting and lifting gear; the Codex Atlanticus classification lists a winch, water-lifting devices and a siphon bucket, as well as siege machines for the defence of walls. The only text transcribed here is a single entry copied from a Milanese account register, recording a credit under a June date. Further faint writing, including mirror-script at the upper right, is visible on the sheet but was not transcribed.

Columnar hoisting and lifting apparatus
The sheet is dominated by tall, cylindrical machine elements with ornamented collars, drawn upright and in raised positions as if being hoisted. The scholarly classification identifies among them a winch (argano), gear for lifting water and weights, and a bucket fitted with a siphon.
Entry from a Milanese account register
A short bookkeeping note records an item entered as a credit, on folio 148 of the register, under the date of the seventh of June, with a sum in pounds, shillings and pence. It is followed by a short string of figures.
